Residential area Mattenhof
The new Mattenhof building implements an exemplary urban housing concept that both covers the specific needs of the neighborhood as well as the different perspectives of residence for various household types and ways of life. The residential area Mattenhof is intended to appeal to families and senior citizens as well as singles. From industrial quarter to dynamic residential and service location. When in 1880 the automobile & motorboat factory "Vulcan-Werke" erected its buildings on the Altstetten area, the proximity to the Altstetten railway station meant an important locational advantage. A benefit that still counts today.
In 2015, the City of Zurich launched an investor study contract for the development of the Hardturm area. HRS and its team have won this investor study contract and are planning to rebuild the 54,000 square meter site. In the future, a non-profit residential building and two high-rise buildings are to be built next to the football stadium.
